Why MOQs exist
MOQs cover the real setup work behind production: sourcing, pattern work, markers, cutting, sewing line setup, trims, packaging, quality control, and administration. Extremely low quantities often create sample-room costs rather than production costs.
What Swimwear.mx considers low MOQ
The minimum order quantity is 300 units per style. That volume is lower than many overseas programs while still large enough to support production planning and quality control.
Low MOQ cost drivers
| Tier | Example characteristics | Indicative pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Simple bikini tops, bottoms, or trunks using standard nylon-spandex, limited trims, no custom print | Starts at $12 per unit |
| Standard | Lined one-pieces, mixed components, branded trims, standard colorways, size grading, packaging | Typically $12-$30 per unit |
| Premium | Recycled fabrics like REPREVE or ECONYL, sublimation, custom hardware, complex construction, specialty packaging | Quoted after fabric and design review |
